About Ellen Nash - AMBA
lI am the creator and Principal Therapist for Yoga & Wellness For All. I began meditation in my early 20’s; almost a lifetime ago.. Over the years the human mind, body and interplay with spiritual connection has kept me enthralled. This led to studies in Psychology with James Cook University and Nutritional Medicine. At 22 years of age, I was involved in a major motor vehicle accident resulting in a broken pelvis/SIJ and 10 years later, the discovery of Breast Cancer during pregnancy. I have lived experience with Breast Cancer a second time resulting in mastectomy in 2019 and a breast reconstruction (DIEP) in 2021. Through these events, the calling of yoga could not be left unanswered and the missing piece of the puzzle was found. Coming home to myself; the spiritual elements now had a physical basis through Yoga. Not just a passion but a true calling! With a background of working with marginalised groups of the population for many years in Occupational Rehabilitation Case Management these skills transfer frequently to add to my support of people in yoga therapy. I have lived experience with trauma, chronic pain management/rehabilitation and chronic illness and most importantly recovery from the same.
After many years of teaching well attended general classes and retreats; I drew on my knowledge, experience and training to specialise in areas which I felt passionate about yet were inadequately serviced and much needed in the community. It is always my aim to work individually or in small groups with people of all abilities to ensure their needs are catered for and they may adequately participate in yoga and reap the many benefits encouraging wellness, rehabilitation, growth and a calmness to their way of life. I have taught yoga in hospitals, schools, kindergartens, studios, homes, offices, clubs, retreats, allied health settings and many online platforms.
We have been Registered NDIS Service Providers since 2017 and have much experience and passion for working with people who experience disability and chronic health conditions. I am an IAYT (with full recognition and hours), AAYT certificated Yoga Therapist and Yoga Australia level 3 Senior Teacher.
I have specialist training in trauma, somatic repression, Kids Family and Community yoga, Teens & Yoga Therapy for Kids and people with disabilities and Prenatal, Postnatal and Active Birthing, Fertility, Restorative and Yin yoga, I completed Level 2 in Yoga Therapy with Yoga therapists and Physiotherapist in 2015, Adaptive Yoga for disabilities with an Occupational Therapist and Yoga Teacher - from Royal Rehabilitation in Sydney and hold a Graduate Certificate in Yoga Therapy. In 2020 I completed Accessible Yoga certification.
In 2019 I completed a long term hospital Internship with the international organisation of CYTER and worked in the private hospital Neurology, Neurosurgery, Obstetric & Gynaecology in out patient departments, in patient wards, intensive care, operating theatre and community outreach groups . As a participant in continual professional development via workshops and trainings as they present I have completed many trainings with Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists and I am KI, Reiki 1 & 2 and Brain Gym trained. I am an advisory group member responsible for accreditation and training standards for AUSactive/Australasian Association of Yoga Therapists; AAYT. I am part of the Standards Council and All Modalities Advisory Group reporting to the board of AUSactive.

At Yoga & Wellness For All; YOGA IS A THERAPY. There is no one size fits all with yoga. Yoga is so much more than just a physical practice.
